At NHB Consulting, our commitment extends beyond our core business. We are proud to support the Swiss Elephant Conservation Foundation(opens new window), which is dedicated to the protection and long-term conservation of the African elephant.

Together with its project partner Elephant Havens in Botswana the Foundation works to protect African elephants and their natural habitat. In addition to rescuing and raising orphaned elephant calves, its mission focuses on preserving wildlife habitats and promoting peaceful coexistence between elephants and local communities.

A key element of the Foundation's work is supporting the local population. This includes the construction of freshwater wells and sanitation facilities at schools, the provision of school buses, and practical support for farmers through effective measures to protect their fields from elephants.

In this way, Elephant Havens helps reduce human-elephant conflict while improving the quality of life for local communities.

Niels H. BurkhardBurkhard serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Elephant Conservation Foundation and regularly visits the projects in Botswana. His personal involvement fosters close collaboration with the local teams and helps ensure that the Foundation's support is used effectively, sustainably, and where it has the greatest impact.
